Workshop

I realize coats and armories on demand, from a commercial estimation if necessary, because it's natural I only create unique single pieces. Each has its own dimensions, its proper wood, its tint, polishing, and is wood surrounded or not.

After the choice of the wood piece, which I take specially care, the drawing is the first step of my work.

The only intervention of a machine will be the "scie à chantourner" ( mecanic cutting blade), who will cut the outside parts of the wood piece. Then, all the piece is hand made, using many differents "gouges" (that's how the main tool of an ebenist is called).

Now is the part of the "gouge" work : from the biggest to the thinest, to define the first layer of the final piece

Then, I use smaller "gouges", to define correctly the smallest part of the wood in a second layer.

Then after, I maker a second drawing, this time with the full details of the finished piece.

And step by step, all elements came in place, to give the wood piece the form and harmony of a nice coat.
